What does LPC Associate Mean?

An LPC Associate has completed their masters degree program including approximately 700 hours of counseling experience before graduation and has already passed the licensing exam. After graduation and passing the exam, they have received their LPC Associate license from the state of Texas and are supervised by a Licensed Professional Supervisor who oversees their work with clients. Often LPC Associates have already completed training in specific areas as well as gained experience with specific populations, giving them expertise in those areas. The LPC Associate may discuss your case confidentially with their supervisor, also giving you the benefit of not just your own counselor’s knowledge but also the experience of the LPC Associate’s Supervisor. At this time, LPC Associates are unable to take insurance, however they do offer a reduced rate for services.
